Live in a sheep barn
Stay in the barn apartment for a truly unique farm experience. This is a well-equipped apartment where you live close to the animals, actually in the same building! When you go to bed, you have a panoramic view into the barn, where sheeps and some other animals live. You can literally count sheep from your bed. In the summer, the sheep graze down by the water where we have a nice grill and bathing area available for guests. End the day with a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi on the terrace overlooking Hammervatnet.

The apartment is 40 square meters on the second floor of a new timber barn.
Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher.
Bathroom with a shower.
There are three sleeping arrangements in the beds and a sofa bed that can fit two people.
TV screen and internet are available.
Air conditioning and a heat pump ensures a pleasant indoor climate.
You can enjoy the view from the veranda, which has a jacuzzi.
Down by the water, there’s a grill area for guests, and you can even rent a rowboat, canoe, tandem kayak, and fishing equipment.
The barn apartment is located in the middle of the farm with the farm shop right next door and a short walk down to the forest and Hammervatnet. In the forest there are sheeps in the summer and by the water you have the opportunity to go for a swim, have a barbecue and rent a rowing boat, tandem kayak or a caboe. It can be rented for a surcharge outside these periods: 20 March to 20 June, traffic in the nature reserve is prohibited due to the nesting season. The same applies during the migration period from 15 September to 15 November.
If desired, you can join a tour of the barn and greet the animals with one of us. There you will have an opportunity to pick your own eggs, feed the animals and get some information about the animals, us and the farm. The visit costs 500 nok. Contact us if you want to rent a boat, canoe, kayak or join a barn visit.
The apartment is located on the second floor of the barn with entrance from the outside.
The farm is located just off the E6, 3 kilometers north of the center of Åsen with a train station, gas station and a new grocery store i en the summer 2026. Only 30 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes and 55 minutes from Trondheim.
