GapaLux is built from solid timber, much of it sourced from our own forest. You’ll stay in a specially designed gapahuk where the mountain itself is a natural part of the structure - raw, authentic, and elegant.
Wood, stone, and sweeping views create a truly sensory experience, while modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and a hot tub ensure your stay is both practical and relaxing. The entire front can be opened with folding doors, allowing the indoor and outdoor spaces to blend seamlessly together.

On request and for an additional fee, we can supply a delicious breakfast basket with local foods from the farm and the surrounding area.
In the forest there are sheeps in the summer and by the water it is possible to swim, barbecue and rent a rowing boat, tandem kayak, canoe and fishing equipment. It can be rented outside these periods: 20 March to 20 June. Traffic in the nature reserve is prohibited due to nesting season, the same applies during the migration period from 15 September to 15 November. Contact us if you want to rent a boat, kayak or canoe.
If desired, you can join a tour of the barn and greet the animals with one of us, for a surcharge. Then there will be an opportunity to pick your own eggs, feed the animals and get some information about the animals we have. Contact us if you want to rent a boat, kayak, canoe or join a barn visit.

The farm is located just off the E6, about 2,5 kilometers north of the center of Åsen with the train station and gas station. New grocery store done i the summer 2026. Only 30 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes and 55 minutes from Trondheim.
